SHOW RULES

    1.  All birds must be banded with closed traceable bands and raised by the exhibitor. NO EXCEPTIONS.
    2. To be eligible for cash and crystal awards in any division, the exhibitor must be a member of Lone Star State Canary Club. We welcome you to join at the show. A membership form is at the back of this catalog for your convenience.
    3. The judging will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
    4. The entry fee will be $2.00 per cage for the first ten entries and $1.00 for each additional entry.
    5. One entry sheet for each division is required.  The divisions are Song, Type, Lipochrome and Melanin.  
    6. It will be the responsibility of the exhibitor to properly mark the show tags of LSSCC banded birds at the time of entry. 
    7. A Novice is any exhibitor showing for their first year. 
    8.  Entries shall be received on Friday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Entries will also be accepted Saturday from 7:00 am to 8:30 a.m. 
    9.  All exhibits must be checked upon entering and leaving the show. After the birds are checked in they are under the care of the show management. They shall not be handled by anyone other than those with proper authority. 
    10.  Consult show catalog regarding class and section numbers. The show management accepts no responsibility for inaccuracy. Birds will be entered in the class and section number indicated on the entry blank. Classification and consulting committee members will be available to those who need help. 
    11.  LSSCC will not be responsible for any accidents, loss or damage to any exhibitor's property. Every precaution will be exercised in the care of the birds. 
    12.  The show management reserves the right to reject any or all entries and to make any changes deemed best for the success of the show. The show management also reserves the right to make any additional rules or regulations it deems necessary.
    13.  The decisions of the judges are final.
    14. No advertising of any nature will be permitted on or about the show cages until all judging is completed and awards have been given.
    15. LSSCC advocates the use of regulation show cages. Each cage should comply with the standard of the species. No extra treat or seed cups of any kind will be allowed; no greens, fruit or treats are permitted in or about the show cage.
    16. All doors of cages must be securely fastened. They can be taped with black tape only. 
    17. The show committee reserves the right to assign extra judges if necessary. 
    18.  Anyone other than the show manager found tampering with the show cage tags will have his/her entries disqualified. 
    19.  Sale tables will be available for $30 each. If you would like a sale table, if possible please let us know in advance to ensure we have enough tables. 
    20.  A formal presentation of awards will be at the banquet. The awards will be presented to the individual owners by the LSSCC exhibition judges.
    21. Entries may be removed from the show hall after the formal presentation of awards, annual meeting, auction and raffle. The president will announce when you may remove your birds with the assistance of the club stewards.
